"Colorado's Finest Good Time Rock" -- The Black Jack Canyon Band featuring Becca Neun is comprised of very experienced professional musicians with thousands of onstage and studio hours between them. Mission?? Provide top level "Good Time" musical entertainment to audiences across Colorado. Focusing on tight musical arrangements and soaring vocal harmonies, the band plays a very wide variety of party music and satisfies audiences from the very young to the most "mature".
The BJC Band owns its own lighting and high end sound system, and has its own sound engineer. Performance fees are based on band availabilty/demand, event duration, travel distance and whether our sound system will be required. "Everything is negotiable"...

All the good ones from the past 50 years...Everyone from the Alabama Shakes and Black Keys to U2 and ZZ Top, Grace Potter to Susan Tedeschi to Sheryl Crow to Etta James...you get the idea. Musically our goal is to have something for everyone, whether its from the '60s or today...and of course the BJC Band also plays a wide variety of party standards from the past 60 years, from Midnight Hour to Brown Eyed Girl to Margaritaville to Play That Funky Music etc, etc, etc....you name it.
We will work closely with you, in advance, to ensure that the playlist for your event matches the mood you wish to create, and the musical tastes of your party's demographics. We know that first and foremost our job is to play the music that you and your guests will enjoy -- because a successful, memorable event is what it's all about. And if there is a special song you'd like us to learn, just let us know...
Becca Neun -- a native of Golden, CO, Becca recently returned home following performing stints in San Francisco, South Beach, and NYC. A seasoned, professional vocalist, Becca joined the BJC Band in Summer 2013 and we are thrilled to have Becca's sultry, powerful voice and sassy stage presence in the band!
You may remember seeing Becca on American Idol Season 9, where she advanced to the Hollywood round. She is also a featured vocalist on several video games including Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Karaoke Revolution Country -- Becca's performances for these games include Take It Off originally made famous by The Donnas, Song With A Mission originally by The Sounds, as well as country tunes Wide Open Spaces, Goodbye Earl, Redneck Woman and My Give A Damn's Busted. Most of these songs are available on itunes as well as on the video games mentioned...
Two of Becca's original songs, Liquid Smog and Sad But True, were featured in Tap Tap Revenge, a video game for the iphone and ipod touch. Stomp Box Remix of Liquid Smog was used in the Facebook game Rock Riot, and was one of the first songs available in the Rock Band Network. Bobby Mack -- a native of Cranford NJ, Bobby is a versatile, toneful guitarist who most recently led the NC-based Aerial View Band through hundreds of gigs over the past 12 years playing at many of NC's leading corporate, festival, and private party gigs. A confirmed Gearaholic. Bobby has opened for David Lee Roth and others. Bob plays Gibson and Suhr guitars, and Suhr and Tone King amps.
Bill Galey -- a native of Stamford, CT, Bill is an accomplished musician with numerous original compositions and CD releases to his credit. Equally at home on lead or slide guitar, Bill also plays keyboards and sings. Bill has played in the Chicago based indie roots rock band Voodoo Pilot for the past 11 years, during which time the band released 4 original CDs, opened for numerous national acts, and received airplay on WXRT and other progressive radio stations around the country. Bill plays Fender and Gibson guitars, and Trace Elliot amps.
Scott Milford -- a native of Horseheads, New York, Scott is a superb bass player and vocalist and a veteran of many outstanding bands. Scott has a great ear, likes to go deep into the blues, and loves to bring da funk...Scott plays Fender Custom Shop basses and Gallien Krueger amps.
Rick Brochu -- A native of Palm Beach, FL, Rick has played nearly every style of music with successful bands all over the country. Comfortable playing jazz to metal and anything in between, Rick is a key part of the BJC rhythm section, locking in airtight grooves and tempos all night long. Rick plays DW drums and Zildjian A Custom cymbals.
