- ABOUT THE RHYTHM EXPRESS -
Based in El Dorado Hills in Northern California, Sacramento cover band, The Rhythm Express, was founded specifically as a variety cover band that plays a bit of everything. Comprised of professionals experienced in many facets of live entertainment, The Rhythm Express is also equipped to provide Master of Ceremony (MC) services.
Many bands play to recorded tracks, similar to what a Karaoke singer does. The result? Sterile music that lacks feeling. By having to play along to recordings a band simply can't "go with the flow" of an event, which is likely the last thing you want on your special day. The talented members of The Rhythm Express play all parts of the music live, so not only does the music groove, The Rhythm Express can adapt and flow with the energy of your event!

Whether you're young or not-so-young, our tune selection provides something for everyone. Our repertoire covers a variety of genres from Pop to Dance to Classic Rock to Country to Soft Rock to Movie Soundtracks, and even Sambas for those special occasions such as weddings and anniversaries. We can also take you on a journey that starts today and includes stops in each decade back through time, all the way to the 50's.
To ensure we have something for everyone no matter what your event, we cover a variety of artists from Elvis Presley to Journey, Pat Benatar, Fleetwod Mac, Dwight Yoakam, KC & the Sunshine Band, and more.
- EVENTS -
We know that every event is special, so we tailor our song list accordingly. For example, if your goal is to get your guests movin' and groovin', every song will be danceable, and we'll provide the juice to get your worst stick-in-the-mud guest off their butt and onto the dance floor!
The Rhythm Express can also perform lower energy material to serve as background entertainment for your dinner party, mixer or happy hour event. We are also experienced with family-friendly events.
Just as important as the music itself, we know that no one likes a band that's so loud you can't even think, let alone talk. Rest assured that we are professionals who pay special attention to sound balance and volume. We assess the acoustics of your venue upfront to ensure our sound is balanced specifically for your event. This way, you can have fun without having your ears blown off!
- THE BAND -
The members of The Rhythm Express Band have performed from New York to Hawaii to Hong Kong, at events and venues ranging from festivals, weddings, cruise ships, special events, and even beauty pageants!
A unique aspect of The Rhythm Express Band is that every member sings. This adds to our dynamic sound by enabling us to cover a broad range of material. - EXAMPLE MATERIAL -
Any band can be made to sound good in a studio-mixed recording, especially since you can "cheat" and add to the recording after the fact, with parts that musicians don't even play live! So, instead of providing unrealistic studio recordings, to the right are recordings from some of our live performances. While recordings of live performances don't have the same tonal qualities as studio recordings, rest assured you'll get real quality live music entertainment when you book The Rhythm Express! (Note that some of the samples were trimmed because of space limitations on Gig Masters.)
