Hip Affair is an oustanding 7-piece party band from San Jose. The instrumentation is 2 vocalist (1 male/1 female), Guitar, Bass, Drums and Sax.
The musicians perform a wide variety of music including Jazz, R&B, Latin and contemporary.
The band is the perfect choice for your corporate event, wedding, festival date, or any special occasion.
Hip Affair 7 piece can grow to 10 people (add 1 singer, 2 horns). Or the band can also grow the full show band size of 14 people (6 horns, 4 singers). These larger ensembles are known as "Silicon Vibe" and can be found here on Gigmasters.
We are certified by "Here Comes The Guide" as part of Silicon Valley Music.
This meant we passed a rigorous certification process requiring 30-40 references, including wedding industry professionals and at least 10 recent brides. They contacted each reference and got their honest feedback. Only if the company gets a rave review do they accept them as a client.

- The band was very versatile and played a wide variety of music. They started the evening playing jazz during the seated dinner. Later on during the evening they switch to playing a wide variety of dance music. They were a great band and everyone at the wedding commented on how good they were.
The band dressed in tuxes, were on time, and worked well with the other vendors.
They were very easy to work with. Carlos is genuinely interested in making the musical part of the event memorable. He listens to what the client wants, he was willing to work within our budget, and charged a reasonable fee for his services.
