DESCRIPTION:
Joe Worrel, guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and bass guitarist, started playing guitar at age 7. By the time he was 15 he was performing over 250 dates a year at state fairs, legion halls, VFW's and dim lit barrooms. Joe has played bass for numerous touring acts and even played bass for a short time with CMA award winner Martina McBride. As bassist and back-up vocalist for the Crossplaines Band, they received the award for top new country band 2004, from the (NACMAI) North American Country Music Assoc Intl. Joe was also selected with nine other solo artists for the "Lasalle Bank More Music tour 2005" the tour included a compilation CD with over 25,000 copies being distributed throughout the United States. He has shared the stage with: Toby Keith, Lonestar, Tracy Byrd, Pam Tillis, Chris Ledoux, David Allen Coe, Hal Ketchum and other top recording artists while the featured vocalist with the Southern Exposure Band for over eight years on their Miller beer sponsored national tour. You might have also seen him picking bluegrass at festivals and barn jams in the north Georgia mountains or even in a Chicago blues bar or Irish pub. His solo acoustic performances have taken him from coast to coast on several Jim Beam sponsored college tours. Joe can be found performing with his band or with the alt-country duo Fistful of Nickels most every night. Bring yourself out to a gig and hear a wide variety of pleasing tunes. It might be country, classic rock, bluegrass or it might be something you've never heard but want to hear again. Joe's new CD, "Take me with you" was released in June 2006 and can be purchased on itunes. Joe performs his music for anyone who will listen, telling lies and bringing truth to the many myths about the evils of music and the damage it can do. Be warned, listening to Joe's music can make you drink too much whiskey, dance like a fool, sell your worldly possessions for vintage musical instruments and give you feelings of heartache, happiness, and the overwhelming urge to hoop and holler. Ladies and gents, boys and girls this is Joe Worrel.

We were very happy with Joe's performance - The music was excellent and Joe interacted with our group very well. I heard wonderful reviews from every person I talked to about his band and their performance. Joe was very easy to work with and to get in touch with - he made the whole experience great and several asked me how we found Joe so I gave them the gigmasters website. We would certainly use Joe again in the future
