KARLI EDGING:
This 18-year-old vocal sensation is catching people's attention and moving toward a bright country music career.
As a senior at Delphi Community High School, Karli is one of the bright young vocal stars of northwest Indiana. She opened some eyes and ears as a preliminary act for rising country star Levi Riggs and his band in November of 2011 during a charity concert at the Long Center for the Performing Arts in Lafayette, helping to raise funds for five "good causes" in the area. Her performance of "Cowboy Casanova" reminded many listeners of Carrie Underwood.
"She's a great young talent with very good pitch," says Riggs. "She has confidence and a lot of potential. I was pleased to have her as a lead-in to our portion of the charity concert and to have her as a vocal back-up in some of our recent performances. I think we'll be hearing a lot about her in the future."
Karli was born and raised in Delphi, IN. She has been performing since she was three years old as a ballet student (for nine years) in the Lafayette Ballet Company. She has been singing since she was four and playing piano since she was 13. Karli has expanded to many types of venues with her vocal talents. She is in high demand at church services, weddings, funerals, community gatherings, gymnasiums (singing the National Anthem for numerous events), school concerts, fairs and festivals. She has recorded multiple times at the Gaither Studios, with her most recent CD self titled "Karli Edging" just completed and available for sale here on her website.
"I enjoy singing very much and it is a strong passion of mine," says Edging. "But, it was ballet that sculpted me into the person that I am today. Ballet disciplined me and showed me how to keep a balanced lifestyle, while helping me develop my performance skills in front of crowds. It taught me how to be confident, take command, entertain, and not be intimidated by the audience."
Area music experts are seeing a positive future for Karli. She performs at fairs, festivals, corporate events, weddings, you name it!
"I think she's a country music star in the making," says Chuck Aaron President of Crown Artist Management, Inc. "She has an outstanding voice and a wonderful stage presence that will continue improving to entertain audiences nationwide. You'll be seeing and hearing a lot more from this talented young lady. She also has the backing of a very supportive family and network of friends and music industry professionals that are helping her in many ways."
Karli performs with the following sound engineering equipment: QSC K-Series Sound System (Which is one of the best in the industry) It is rated at 4000 watts of power.
