About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

Created eight years ago, Merchants of Moonshine is a young group of musicians that deliver a versatile, exciting, high energy show to any occasion, large or small. Whether it's traditional country favorites, pop country covers, southern/classic rock hits, or originals, we have it covered. We also have a female member of the band that can provide line dance instruction for your event if you desire. M.o.M. is comprised of six musicians from all over America (TX, OH, NE, MO, MI, FL) who met in Los Angeles and constructed "their" version of a country band. They perform/write tunes in the spirit of country's past greats while incorporating a sound that invites the modern listener. "REVITALIZED ROOTS COUNTRY WITH A KICK!" With close to 600 gigs under their belt, they have become southern California's premiere local country band and now split time between L.A. and Nashville as they tour the entire U.S. They have shared the stage with Rodney Crowell, Zac Brown Band, David Allan Coe, Billy Bob Thornton & the Boxmasters, Wade Hayes, The Blasters, Trisha Yearwood, Hal Ketchum, Little Texas, Asleep at the Wheel, Clint Black, Junior Brown, Will Kimbrough, Bo Bice, Neal McCoy, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, and Phil Vasser. They have performed at several large fairs and rodeos, four of the largest being National Finals Rodeo (Vegas), the L.A. County Fair, the Honda Center, and Angels Stadium. They have played at many "High Profile" Los Angeles venues including Viper Room, The Mint, and Key Club. Awards include South Bay Music Award's 2007 "Country Artist of the Year", Colgate Country Showdown's 2006 "California State Finalist", and they consistently break attendance records at most of the bars/clubs they frequent. They have been featured (interviewed and played) on Shawn Parr's "local spotlight" on KKGO 105.1 GoCountry, 100.7 KatCountry, and KTDD 1350 w/ Bill Georgi" . "Country Love" written by M.o.M. was used in a feature film entitled "Cut Off" starring Faye Dunaway, Malcolm McDowell, and Kurupt. They have recently taken their show on the road with a series of mini-tours encompassing the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. On these trips they have played staple venues such as Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar" (Minneapolis/Detroit), Gilley's (Vegas), Museum Club (Flagstaff), Stubb's (Austin), Billy Bob's Texas (Ft. Worth), Adair's Saloon (Dallas) and a Blue Angels air show (Bossier City).

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on June 30, 2013From Morgan Hill, CA

The band was EVERYTHING I wanted for my wedding. They were so accommodating about playing during the ceremony, and learning our "first dance." They seemed to know exactly what kind of music I wanted to hear that night without me even making the specific requests. They were nice, fun, professional, and MADE my wedding awesome. Thank you, Merchants!

Wedding ReceptionReviewed on August 24, 2012From Carmel Valley, CA

I cannot say enough postitve things about Chris Brown and the Merchants of Moonshine! First of all their performance was incredible, they are so amazingly talented and consequently our dance floor was full the entire reception. They even took the time to learn a couple new songs per our request, one being our first dance song and their rendition rivaled Chris LeDoux's (god rest his soul). They were a breath of fresh air in the planning proces; kind, accomodating, humble, fun, energetic wonder people. I cannot wait to hire the Merchants of Moonshine again. They made our Wedding Reception the great time it was, and were by far the best money spent on the enitire event!
