Based out of Glenside, Pennsylvania, 309 Express was formed in 2008 by lead vocalist Mary Duffy and her husband guitarist Bill Gioioso. Joined by bass player Bill Morrison, lead guitarist John Green, and drummer Dennis Jacoby, the band made its first public appearance in 2009. 309 Express has performed at the Ambler Arts and Music Festival, the Southampton Days Country Fair, the Cheltenham Township Harvest Festival, the Fox Chase Farm Spring and Fall Festivals, the Ambler Oktoberfest, the Curtis Arboretum Concerts in the Park, the AMH June Fete Village Fair, the Glenside Street Fair, and the Elkins Park Arts in the Park. 309 Express has also performed for organizations such as the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society and Project HOPE.
