DFW Funny Business specializes in all types of children's entertainment. If you need a professional clown, balloon entertainer, balloon artist, face painter, costumed character, puppeteer, storyteller, children's magician, juggler, unicyclist or stilt walker - we HAVE over 160 entertainers and specialty acts at our disposal to choose from! Even petting zoos and pony rides!

We are a family owned company in business since 1984. DFW Funny Business specializes in making memories for children and families in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. A few of our entertainers will travel outside the DFW area so just ask!

Our clowns are among the top clowns in the state of Texas. How can we say that? Because our clowns TEACH other clowns in Texas HOW to be a good clown. Our clowns are the instructors for area clown schools as well as the officers in local clown clubs. We take our funny SERIOUSLY!

Many of the photos you see at the Gigmasters site are of the principal, founder and owner - Margaret Clauder. Margaret is a consummate performer herself with over 25 years experience as a children's entertainer. She is a member (and officer) of 2 area clown clubs, a magic club, a balloon artist club, a face painters guild, a storytellers guild, and a puppetry guild. Now you know how she spends her week nights! Through the club meetings as well as her thousands of local performances throughout the years she meets the talent of DFW Funny Business. If they are good they get a chance to audition for the company. If they are bad then they don't get the opportunity. Once they audition they will typically attend events with our more experienced entertainers for 6 months until they pass a probationary period. If they are on our website then they have been with our company over 5 years and are considered one of our leading entertainers.

When you hire one of our entertainers, you hire a professional that has been carefully screened. They are entering your home or business and interacting with your family, friends or clients - here, we take fun seriously. We perform criminal background checks and check their references. We require them to carry entertainer liability insurance. We have seen them perform not only in their audition but at live events, so we know their act and what we are talking about when we suggest an entertainer for your party.

We require them to be on time, courteous, and above all - GREAT WITH CHILDREN AND ENTERTAINING CHILDREN. This is not an easy task as kids can be brutally honest. If kids don't like you, they let you know it. If they love you, they let you know that, too.

We love children and entertaining them. Making wonderful, lasting childhood memories is our goal, one that we strive to live up to each and every day. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to make some memories for you!

*My own children ages 22 and 27 do not remember any birthday cakes, any presents, any decorations, any fancy plates or napkins from their parties. They can't even recall who came to specific parties. They DO however remember EACH and EVERY live entertainer from the time they were 3 years old! Live entertainment makes a memory. Let us do that for your family!

• Hanky the Clown entertained for a party of 2-3 year olds. She kept their attention and they loved her. She did puppets, magic, balloons and face painting. She ran a little late (due to bad weather and unforseen traffic issues) but called immediately to keep us aware. The party never missed a beat. Would definitely recommend. • The Princess came on time and started her "act" immediatley upon entering the house. She wasted no time in recognizing the birthday girl, getting the children rounded up, and starting the show! She was polite, fun, engaging with all the children and kept them laughing and having fun for 1.5 hours. • The clown Funny Business sent out did a great job with her routine. The kids were well entertained by her magic for almost an hour. They enjoyed playing limbo for a few minutes while she made balloon animals, but their interest in that didn't last long enough for her to make a balloon sculpture for every child. • Santa Joe was great! He was probably bored out of his mind....we had a very low turn out due to weather and other events. He kept rocking right along though.
