Description

PROFESSIONAL MISBEHAVER RICK LEWIS is a 50 year old man who rides a 12 foot high unicycle, is the World's Funniest Waiter and is the author of the book, "7 RULES YOU WERE BORN TO BREAK".

If you're looking for an absolutely unique way to bring a group of people together with clean wholesome laughter and fun and to inspire them to excellence as individuals or as a group, Rick Lewis is exactly what you need.

Here is what the CEO of the Taco Bueno Restaurant chain said about Rick after his presentation to 300 of the company's general managers.

"Rick Lewis provided the most captivating, engaging and eye popping performance I have seen in my 30 years of conference presentations. Even more impressive was his deep insight into human behavior, the culture we align to, its blessings and its curse. Using excerpts from his book, "7 Rules You Were Born to Break" Rick broke down obstacles to taking risks, gave inspiration to "stand out", to be you and be different; and even taught a few men how to stop and ask for directions when in need of help. I have read it through twice now and will borrow heavily from the work in my leadership journey. I am forever changed! Hire Rick and get the book. You will not be disappointed. You are missing out if you don't!"

- John C Miller President & CEO Taco Bueno Restaurants, LP

Here's how Rick's presentation works -

Imagine your guests sitting down for lunch or dinner as their server approaches the table to refresh the water glass.

Filling the glass to the absolute brim from a height of two-and-a-half feet, your guest is asked, "Is that enough water for you?" by a completely straight-faced waiter.

Imagine the same waiter returning to the table throughout the meal and becoming more eccentric with each visit.

In this first segment of his presentation Rick plays the role of an utterly inept server who breaks every rule of normal and expected behavior.

By the end of the meal your guests have leaned to the left or right at least a dozen times to whisper to the person sitting next to them, "Did you just see what I saw?"

The result?

Your guests connect with each other and they also begin a journey of awareness into how the unspoken rules of our culture shape our lives.

Suddenly an announcement is made by the hotel management. They have asked the new waiter to come forward and apologize for his behavior.

Nervously arriving on stage, the waiter stammers for words, but he is interrupted by a broadcast of show tunes over the loudspeakers. He is taken over by the mood of the music. As he sheds his uniform, the bright jersey of Rick the entertainer is revealed.

Your audience will finally realize that the waiter is actually their headline act.

Rick uses his training as a performer and comedian to captivate and delight your guests. A master of audience participation, Rick gets your crowd completely involved in his circus stunts and comedy routines.

As he balances objects, juggles and mounts a unicycle that is 12 feet tall, your audience gets the laughs and a powerful message at the same time.

Get ready to stifle your laughter if you've hired Rick Lewis for your event—or you might need to leave the room to compose yourself so you don't blow the cover of The World's Funniest Waiter as he takes your unsuspecting guests on a wildly comical ride. At first he emerges as a shy and clumsy server, apparently doing his best, yet his behavior grows more bizarre and eccentric by the minute. From a height of two feet he's filled a water glass so full it is literally bulging over the brim and then asked the owner… "Is that enough water for you?" with deadpan sincerity. He's dropped the silverware and whacked his head on the bottom of the table while retrieving it—and then used the ice from a nearby drink to stop the swelling. Mishaps and oddities leave folks bewildered and buzzing about the outrageously inept waiter who is stammering and blundering his way through the meal.

  • I organized an employee recognition event and hired Rick Lewis. He exceeded my expectations. Here is unsolicited feedback: "Presenter was excellent." "In my 30 years with the agency this was definitely one of the best awards program." "The motivational speaker was AMAZINGLY FUNNY!" "Great job getting the performer. Many years we've had less-than mediocre speakers, and this guy was a riot... and got a great message across. I especially like the fact that he really only spoke for a few minutes, but his messages were conveyed through the entire performance. Very smart!" "Everyone I talked to enjoyed the Awards Day this year. The best in my 21 years here in AZ!" -- Rebecca D, Phoenix, AZ, 12/1/2009
  • Absolutely Amazing! Everyone in the audience was laughing and if they weren't... he made sure they did. He made wonderful use of the audience and had constant attention from the whole room! Very captivating, exciting and coporate friendly. He was very accomadating to our needs and requests and was a perfect choice for our event! • Rick Lewis-The World's Funniest Waiter provided our event with nothing but professionalism from start to finish. He was very accommodating to our needs. As far as the entertainment is concerned, Rick Lewis presented an outrageously funny act that received nothing but positive feedback for the remainder of the day. The most common comment was, "Best event ever!" I believe this is due to Rick's performance. We were very lucky to have found this true artist & entertainer. Not to mention, very proud to have provided our audience a perfect show for the occasion! -- Tracy W, Flagstaff, AZ, 5/23/2008
  • Rick Lewis delivered a unique show that dazzled our guests, kept them laughing & then as a speaker inspired them. We literally went on a wildly comical ride when he began his routine as The World's Funniest Waiter. When Rick finally revealed himself as the entertainer, the whole room filled with laughter. He coordinated directly with the resort which alleviated me from having to participate in the planning. His keynote address "empowered" our group to look beyond their disabilities & strive to overcome them. If you're looking for a unique entertainer & inspiring speaker that will leave a lasting message with your participants, Rick Lewis will deliver. -- Justin A, Tempe, AZ, 9/27/2008
  • Rick's performance during the appetizer/mingling time, caused the guests to mingle among one another, more than any party we've hosted for our management. His deadpan facial expressions topped it off. The physical comedic routine to conclude the night was absolutely gut-busting fun. The off the cuff audience engagement made memories to last a lifetime for all attendees. Sincerely, Sharman Hickman Chicken Farmer from Arizona! -- Sharman H, Litchfield Park, AZ, 12/13/2008

  • Rick was the perfect addition to our conference. He was very professional, greatly entertaining, and everyone just loved his act. He really took the audience by surprise and it was a great way to open up the day. It really set the mood for the rest of the conference and we highly recommend him to any group that is considering him. Thank you Rick! -- Cheryl R, Phoenix, AZ, 10/15/2009
  • Upon meeting Rick, you can help but notice that he is a professional. He is open to your ideas and suggests his own to compliment your overall experience. He kept to character throughout the "waiter" experience and knew when to slow down and spped up. Upon his introducton to begin the show he held the attention of everyone in the room. Everyone laughed, participated in the experience and looked forward to our next event. Rick Lewis is a true performer and speaker. -- Tony C, Chino Valley, AZ, 11/20/2008
  • Rick was fantastic. Funny and very professional I received great feedback from our guests. -- Jeanette G, Scottsdale, AZ, 2/27/2009
  • Rick was the consumate professional - in 3 separate acts! His antics as a waiter had a room full of health care leaders increasingly concerned about the state of his mental health as his behaviour became more and more outlandish. The relief was palpable when he burst into the second part of his act - until they realized it involved audience participation. Then he had us hooked with his allegoric story-telling in part 3. Buy his book if you can't experience Rick in person! -- Wendy W, Vancouver, BC, 11/19/2010
  • Rick was the most effective, fun performer we have ever had at an event. His ability to blend into the enviroment and be part of the event from beginning to end truly impacted my entire staff. His ability to engage and develop audience participation was excellent. Almost every person at the event came to me afterwards and complimented his work. The fun and the inspirational message woven in made an impression that will last for a long time and I am confident will pay big dividends for our company. Randy K, CEO RMBHS -- Randy K, Mesa, AZ, 12/16/2010
  • Very easy to work with. Rick was totally flexible about the presentation environment and worked very well with my client. Great performance-totally involved the audience. Exactly what we wanted. -- John L, Scottsdale, AZ, 4/13/2011
  • Rick held the audience's interest throughout the entire show. His ideal selection of volunteers to participate in the show meant a high level of enjoyment for all. Feedback from a long-time member was that this year's event was our best one yet! -- Cheryl C, Vancouver, BC, 3/12/2011
