Linda Belt

Linda Belt is a New Jersey native (a comedy routine in itself). She moved to CT in 1987 where she became a suburban pillar of the community attending PTO meetings and baseball games. Linda became very tired holding up that pillar and instead holds her own as a professional stand up comic. Her humor touches on the absurdities of modern life and explores marriage, sex, parenting and social mores, in other words: any subject she feels like discussing!

Linda has performed throughout the US and Canada and has been featured in a number of comedy festivals, including the Hogtown Comedy Festival (Toronto) the Detroit Comedy Festival, the Long Island Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy Fest. Her many venues have included: The Wolf's Den at Mohegan Sun, Comedy Studio (Boston), NY Improv, the Broadway Comedy Club (NYC) & The Laugh Factory (NYC) as part of the "Broads of Broadway" show, Yuk Yuks International: Toronto & Halifax, Joe Franklin's (NYC), the Underground Comedy Club: (NYC), Caroline's (NYC) Brew Ha Ha Comedy Club at City Steam (Hartford), Governor's Comedy Club (Long Island) and Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle (Detroit). As a full-time working comic, she can be found at various local & national venues, fundraisers and corporate events.

While primarily a nightclub comic, Linda can modify her material to comply with any requested rating. Areas of specialty include, Temples, Jewish organizations and women's groups, especially PTO fundraisers*( for adults). *Please note-even when working "clean", Linda's act is geared for adults. Linda is available for corporate events but only for those that allow flexibility for a PG13/16 rating.

• Linda was amazing! I hired Linda to perform at my wife's 50th birthday party at a ski lodge in Vermont. Linda was very accomodating and worked with me to complete the details including sneaking her in as a friend and surprising my wife when we introduced Linda as the entertainment for the evening. It's worth noting that our group was only 12 people, ages 21 to 75, which was a concern but Linda was incredible. She actively engaged everyone, knew everyone's name by the end of her performance and had most of us with tears in our eyes from laughing so hard.
