An intuitive, passionate, and accurate performer, Jason will set the tone, transform or subtly influence the space, based on your ceremony, event, or party. Jason works with you to create a set list that really honors your special occasion. His intent is to design music that celebrates you and your guests, whether cocktail hour, rock/pop favorites, the occasional guest sing-along, or traditional classical pieces. Jason Pelsey is unique in that he is equally skilled at performing & composing. He often creates original musical themes by request, or even on the spot, for example, the bride's walk down the aisle, handing out the trophies at a ceremony, bride and grooms first dance, etc. Jason began playing piano at age 3, performing/composing at 10, and teaching at age 12. Raised in Oregon he re-located to LA in 2006 to complete his third University Degree in Music. Jason has composed music for several award winning independent films. His latest film work can be heard in the upcoming film: Supremecy, co-produced by Halle Barry. Jason has been regularly hired for weddings, industry events, and ceremonies since 1998. He plays concerts featuring his original classical pieces, and regularly records and performs for local LA bands. He has a permanent artist residency at The Piano Bar in Hollywood on Wednesday evenings. Jason's vast knowledge of music is not limited to classical pieces, he can play all your rock/blues/pop favorites as well! He delights in composing musical themes when requested to make an occasion truly unique and special. Jason has a valid passport. He has traveled to Texas, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, Kentucky, Washington, and NYC for various events. He is happy to add an out of CA location to the list, should you require. Audiences are often amazed that Jason is a mix of passion and accuracy on the piano keys. Pianists are not often, both.
