Yana Sorokina is an accomplished Pianist/Music Instructor, originally from Belarus (E. Europe). She has been teaching and performing in the U. S. for over 15 years. Yana has a very versatile program: Classical Music, Jazz, Blues, Ragtime, Boogie-Woogie, Pop, Rock, Country, Movie Themes, etc. She has played at many weddings and other events, including restaurant functions, cocktail and dinner hours, private and holiday parties, festivals, night clubs, libraries, country clubs, art galleries and yacht clubs. She continued Piano Studies in the United States taking lessons with very accomplished pianists like David Maxwell, Harvey Diamond, Yasko Kabota, Bill Duffy and Ralph Funaro.
Yana has performed during the wedding ceremonies at Boston University Castle, Plymouth Plantation Pavilion, Menton Restaurant and many other venues in New England. Her background Piano Music has always been a great addition to dinner hours at many family restaurants: Pasta Eleganza, Pembroke, Main St. Cafe,Concord, Rock Pond Pub, Georgetown, East Bay Grill, Plymouth. She has had many recitals with her students and volunteered to perform at a number of fundraisers.
