Description
The Juke Joint Gypsies are the artists formerly known as the Dawn Barham Band. The band’s sound has been described as “Etheridge meets the Allman Brothers”. In addition to headlining festivals and events, the Juke Joint Gypsies have opened for The Marshall Tucker Band, Montgomery Gentry, Andy Griggs, The Little River Band, Ratt, The Classic Rock All Stars, and Levon Helm & the Barn Burners. They have shared the stage with such luminaries as Highway 101, The Drifters, Big Ass Truck, Mountain, Blind Mississippi Morris, Sean Costello and more. From originals to covers, from Beale Street to Bourbon Street, the Juke Joint Gypsies jam hard! Members include Dawn Barham, on lead vocals, guitar, and flute, Mike Chain on bass and vocals, Tony Foster on lead guitar and vocals, and Gary Shaw on skins and vocals. The band is currently working on their first cd as “Juke Joint Gypsies.” In addition to their original material, the band offers up your favorites from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and beyond as well as blues rock, southern rock, classic rock, country rock - you get the idea!
