Ondine Chamber Ensemble

The Ondine Chamber Ensemble was founded in 1988 by cellist Kathleen Hood, who has been a member of the Long Beach Symphony since 1980. Over the years, the ensemble has grown to include more than 25 performers, all of whom are professional musicians working in the greater Los Angeles area. Our group has played at numerous events in Southern California, including weddings, commitment ceremonies, gallery openings, and corporate events. The ensemble ranges in size from a single instrument to a quartet, or even a small chamber orchestra if needed and can include a variety of instruments. Although we specialize in classical chamber music, we also play a variety of popular music, Broadway tunes, and movie music.

• Kathleen Hood and her ensemble played all night at our benefit, held on April 14, 2012, the 100 year anniversary of the Titanic. They went the extra mile for us and musically recreated that fateful evening, playing throughout our event, the same music the Titanic orchestra played, evoking those players who famously gave everything to calm the passengers on that night. • I have nothing negatve to say about this group. they were professional, talented, responsive, & wonderful! they came on time even though the venue was really far and easy to get lost. we overpaid them and they notified us the next day and sent us a check for the amount. they were very affordable, and honestly for their talent level it'd be a shame to pass them up!
