Description
Millington Strings performs most often as a string quartet. Clients occasionally request a quintet (with string bass) a duo or even a solo performer, and we do our best to accommodate a client's need. While we frequently perform the more usual classical string quartet literature, we also perform a wide and eclectic repertoire, ranging from ragtime, blues and jazz to opera favorites, to pop and rock music from the 40's to the 90's.
Two of our performers are also composer/arrangers, and this contributes to the unusual and uniquely wide-ranging repertoire of Millington Strings. We have two of our videos here on the Gigmasters site; you can find more on YouTube by searching on Millington Strings.

Feedback
- The quartet was an integral part of making my mother's funeral a sparkling celebration of life. They fit my intended mood perfectly. -- Suzanne W, Santa Rosa, CA, 1/6/2012
- Steve Millington was very friendly and professional when coordinating our event. Our guest, including my wife, were very impressed with the dual that performed during our ceremony. The arrangements were discussed far in advanced so there were no issues during the entire wedding ceremony. We would definately recommend them to friends and family. -- Khai T, Davis, CA, 9/26/2009
- They were fantastic, thank you. Good folks, great players, fast readers. the only problem we had was an unusual one, that they didnt use pick- ups to amplify the strings, the clip on mics are really not suited for a rock band with quartet and kept on feeding back, that was the local sound mans mistake in assuming it would suffice.
-- Dale Ockerman Representing/pla W, Modesto, CA, 8/1/2009
- When working with vendors for the first time, one never is sure what to expect, but our experience with Millington Strings was top notch. They are gifted musicians, who have play well together. Besides the music attached to their website, we also obtained their CD, which allowed us to hear a number of pieces. They have an extensive repertoire, and added a new song, at our request. Steve created an arrangement of "Chapel of Love" that was fabulous. Our guests were very complimentary with regards to the quartet. Millinton Strings is professional and personable. Michael and I would not hesitate to engage them for other events. Michael & Susan Hanson -- Susan L, Lodi, CA, 10/18/2008
