David Cohen

David Cohen is a multi-instrumentalist with over 30 years of study and performance on the classical & flamenco guitar, Chinese pipa, highland bagpipes and oud.

Whether it is a performance of only Classical & Flamenco Guitar or all four instruments, David can enhance an event with music that has been described as 'Music that dances in the Air'.

David has given performances for civic groups, schools, corporate functions, social events, and benefits.

David's teaching studio, Guitar Point is located in Ocean Grove New Jersey and serves as the President of the Ocean Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.

In 2003 David started the Ocean Grove Monmouth/Ocean Food Bank Benefit Concert that is held on the last Saturday in January with all proceeds going directly to the MOC Food Bank. David also created the Ocean Grove Music and Arts Festival that is also held yearly.

Information on classical and world music events in the Philadelphia and Jersey Shore area can be viewed at the web sites PhiladelphiaClassicalMusic and JerseyShoreClassicalMusic which David developed to help promote classical and world music in both areas.

David has been featured in the Montgomery County Ticket, Asbury Park Press, The Ocean Grove Record, LIFE Magazine and can be heard in interview on Philadelphia's WRTI program Cross Over w/Jill Pasternak from January 2007. David has also written for Philadelphia Music Makers Magazine.
