AS A PROFESSIONAL GUITARIST FOR 20+ YEARS, I CAN OFFER A WIDE RANGE OF MUSICAL STYLES FOR YOUR NEXT BIG EVENT. Having earned my masters degree in classical guitar performance, I can play from the standard guitar repertoire including the music of Tarrega, Albeniz, Schubert, Bach and Pachelbel for that traditional wedding sound. If you prefer something more in line with your individual tastes, then I can also play jazz standards from composers like Cole Porter and George Gershwin or even classic rock tunes by Clapton or the Beatles. Whatever the event, I can mix the music to meet your discriminating needs. From intimate dinner parties to lavish weddings, private birthday parties to grand openings, my music will provide you with the ambiance you seek and a moment in time that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime. I WILL WORK HARD TO GUARANTEE YOUR SATISFACTION.
A look at my play list will reveal an extensive array of music available, including many classical favorites as well as more contemporary pop tunes. And yes, I have many of those Spanish and Latin favorites available, such as Estrellita, Spanish Romance, Leyenda and Recuerdos de la Alhambra. If you don't see your favorite tune listed below, don't worry, I have arranged numerous tunes for clients over the years from artists such as Norah Jones, Billy Joel, Kenny Chesney and even bands like the Talking Heads. Provide me with the artist and the title of the song and I will gladly do my best to perform it at your event to make it one to remember. Just give me enough time to work out the details.
I have all the right equipment to play any setting, from garden weddings where electricity is unavailable to large auditoriums. I will even bring my own chair so you don't have to worry about anything. Never will the music be overbearing but mixed just right to provide you with the atmosphere that will guarantee that you and your guests will be pleased.
I received my master's degree in classical guitar performance from UNT in Denton in 1983 where I was able to study with touring guitarists like Oscar Ghiglia and Grammy award winning David Russell. Since then, I have been performing all across Texas and Oklahoma in venues such as Turtle Creek Mansion in Dallas, Ft.Worth Botanical Gardens, Dallas Arboretum, House of Blues in Dallas and the St. Cecilia Hotel in Austin just to name a few locations.
I have recorded 2 cds. The first one, Soliloquy, contains music of Barrios, Bach, Granados, Albeniz as well as other Spanish and Latin composers. The second, Il Chitarra Romantico, contains music of Carcassi and Guiliani.
