Description
Are you looking for string and/or brass musicians for your wedding ceremony, cocktails and/or dinner? The Brass String Chamber Ensemble is a professional, experienced, versatile and helpful group of musicians.
We've performed beautiful music for at least 125 weddings each year since 1990 (that's over 2000 weddings!) and our library contains over 1000 pieces of music. A comprehensive library + 18 years of experience = beautiful wedding music that's also worry-free. We know who to talk to and what questions to ask to ensure that cues and other logistics are in sync between us and your celebrant, coordinator, music director, etc. We'll share with you some tricks and techniques we've learned to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
We feature a string quartet with trumpets but other string and/or brass combinations are available, for example: string quartet, solo violin and/or trumpet or our brass quintet: Stonegate Brass. The Brass String Chamber Ensemble and Stonegate Brass are proud to have some of the finest musicians in Chicagoland as members. You will often see our musicians performing with the CSO, Lyric Opera, Grant Park Symphony, Elgin Symphony, Rockford Symphony, Northwest Indiana Symphony, Bach Chamber Orchestra, etc.
We play all the traditional ceremony music selections (Canon, Trumpet Voluntary, Jesu Joy, Hornpipe, Wedding March, Rondeau, etc.) but we also have a wide variety of non-traditional choices as well. We write many of our own arrangements (including all the parts of a Catholic Mass) so we can offer you options that you won't find anywhere else. Our reception library is also quite versatile - we play Gershwin, Porter, Sinatra, Beatles, Zeppelin, Verve... you get the idea. We even have a BOSE sound and light system if your room is very large and/or dark.
