Mark Bacon

Mark is a professional Trumpet Soloist specializing in weddings, funerals and symphonic performances.

Since 2000, Mark has performed as Principal Trumpet of the Cape Ann Symphony and has also performed with the Lexington Symphony, the Massachusetts Symphony, the Thayer Symphony, and the Cape Cod Symphony. He has been a frequent soloist performing weddings throughout New England since 1983.

His chamber collaborations include Boston Brass, Bala Brass, BBQ Brass, Chatham Chorale, Neponset Choral Society, Paul Madore Chorale, Sacred Choral Artists and other ensembles.

As a soloist, Mark has appeared with the Cape Ann Symphony, Quincy Symphony, at Gordon College, The University of Massachusetts Lowell, Methuen Memorial Music Hall, Saint Anthony's Shrine in Boston, and on numerous occasions at the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul in Providence.

A graduate of Walnut Hill School, and an alumnus of The Tanglewood Institute, and Phillips Academy Andover, Mark holds a Bachelors of Music and Philosophy degree (magna cum laude) from The University of Massachusetts, and received his Master of Music degree from Indiana University.

Mark has an active roster of outstanding private students in Massachusetts and his recordings can be found on film, television, and are available on compact disc.
