Caprice Strings

Caprice Strings beautifully melds the string sounds of violin, viola, and cello into a trio ensemble. Caprice has performed widely over the past 20 years with an extensive repertoire that embraces baroque, classical and contemporary works - from Bach to Mozart to Gershwin and The Beatles.

Caprice Strings has performed for a variety of events. We have been featured at the daily luncheon in the Garden Room of the U.S. Grant Hotel, appeared in recital in the historic Villa Montezuma, performed at exclusive Nordstrom events, and played for special occasions such as the Challenger reception for Sail America, and for the inaugural cruise of the Royal Viking Sun.

Caprice Strings performs music for weddings and receptions in a broad range of styles and settings, from formal catholic masses at USD's Immaculata Cathedral to outdoor ceremonies at Balboa Park. We have performed at virtually every major hotel in the San Diego area. Consider us for preludes, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, cocktails, receptions, or celebration breakfasts. We are able to tailor our performances completely to our client's wishes.

Additional musicians, such as trumpets, vocalists, flutists, or extra strings can be added to our core group. Caprice has played engagements ranging from single/solo musicians to chamber orchestras. We can put together a great set of musicians for whatever size group fits your desire.

• Caprice Strings were the least of my worries during the planning and, later, during the last minute program changes. Francesca was very clear up front on the cost, length of performance and what they required for setting up. Their timing and performance were flawless. I relied on the music as my cue. My parents walked me down the aisle at the beach, but we came to find that my mom couldn't maneuver through the sand very well. We walked slower to accommodate her and Caprice Stings lengthened the wedding march automatically and seamlessly until we reached the front.
