Robert Mayfield Classical Guitarist from Chicago, IL

I am a classically trained guitarist with a background of several styles. I have studied extensively at Columbia College of Chicago and have studied an array of music such as Classical, Pop, Jazz, and Rock. At Columbia College I have had the pleasure to study under Norman Ruiz for classical guitar and both Frank Dawson and Bill Boris for jazz guitar. Since the age of 14 I have been performing in bands as both a guitarist and songwriter. I have played regularly in the Chicago and Midwest regional area along with a national tour in 2008. As a classical guitarist, I have played for art gallery openings, weddings, private parties and religious events. With an extensive repertoire of Classical, Jazz and Pop-Arrangements I am perfect of your event! Also with 12 years of performing experience I also offer private music instruction at Chicagoland schools of My Music Lessons (Oak Park, IL) and Top Note Music Academy (Skokie, IL).
