The Kid Kurry Band Southern Rock Band from Victor, NY

The Kid Kurry Band is the area's most musically talented Southern Rock Band. This well known six member group of dedicated, professional musicians features music by Southern Rock legends Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, The Allman Brothers and others. Sets lists are rounded out with music by The Eagles, Crosby, Stills & Nash, America, Pure Prairie League, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tom Petty, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton and more, appealing to a diverse audience. Add the band's full vocal harmonies to this line-up, and you get a band whose musical ability and depth sets them apart from other bands in the area. The Kid Kurry Band is equally comfortable opening for national acts as they are playing for small parties. They readily adjust their set lists to accommodate the venue. The Kid Kurry Band also performs as a 70's Classic Rock band with Southern Rock roots. Five KKB members perform when a smaller band is better suited to the event. This version of Kid Kurry travels light, with one less lead guitarist and a smaller sound system. Set lists emphasize music by The Eagles, America, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Loggins and Messina, Creedence, etc., with some pure Southern Rock sprinkled in. The Kid Kurry Band has entertained audiences of thousands of people. They have opened for The Outlaws, Marshall Tucker,.38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Phil Vassar, The Little River Band and Starship. They have headlined A Taste of Rochester, Flour City Brewers' Fest, East End Fest, and the NYS Festival of Balloons. This band has performed multiple times at The Finger Lakes Race Track and Casino's Outdoor Summer Concert Series and Rochester's Lilac Festival. They have played at special functions such as Frost Ridge, Jill and Jim Kelly's Candlelight Ball, as well as birthday, retirement, anniversary, graduation, wedding and motorcycle club parties. The KKB can be seen at a variety of clubs and festivals in the western NY area. Band members include lead singer and acoustic guitarist Rick Wyand, dual lead guitarists Chris Akuncius and Ed Byron, bassist and second lead singer Steve Kingdom, flutist and violinist Anne Wyand, and percussionist Jerry Cummings.
