The 7th Sons is an old-school, classic-rock & rockin' blues show band. We don't just stand on stage and play music AT the people. Our goal is to engage the people in the audience, and to include them as part of the experience in our shows so that everyone has a great time. People often remark, "you guys look like you're really having fun up there," and that is because we ARE having fun. We believe it's contagious... :)
Typically, we appear with nationally-touring name-artists at local-area concert-dinner hall venues like The Coach House, The Galaxy Theatre & Brixton South Bay. However, have also performed at charity concerts and events (such as Ride The Coast 2008, benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana, and the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life in Irvine in 2007). We also appeared at the 36th Annual Kite Festival at Redondo Beach Pier in Redondo Beach in 2010, and several smaller, more intimate venues in Orange County & the Inland Empire from 2006 to 2009. We would also consider performing for other events such as festivals, street fairs, corporate functions, other concerts, private affairs, etc. If in doubt, please ask us... we won't turn away any reasonable offers.
Since 2006, we have appeared in concerts with Leon Russell, Eddie Money (whom we will be appearing with again at The Coach House on Oct 16th, 2010), John Mayall, Eric Burdon & The Animals, Dave Mason, Terri Nunn & Berlin (4 times), The Tubes, The Marshall Tucker Band, Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, Gary Hoey (2 times), Ambrosia, Rick Derringer, Martha Davis & The Motels, Mountain, The Blasters, Coco Montoya, Johnny A, G.E. Smith (former guitarist for Hall & Oates & Saturday Night Bandleader 1985-1995), Craig Chaquico (Jefferson Starship), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Billy Vera & The Beaters, Sons Of Champlin, Jeff Scott Soto (former singer for Journey), Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, The Flying Other Brothers, Surfin' Safari, Turn The Page (A Bob Seger Tribute), & Savage City. Sitting in with us, at various shows, were John Avila (former bass player from Oingo Boingo), singer Monica Kitzerow, Billy Yates (formerly with The Outlaws), and Sean McNabb (formerly of Quiet Riot & Great White).
We're also planning a show in the near future for the Galaxy Theatre that will include several acts & musicians, such as John Avila (Oingo Boingo), Sammy Avila (Walter Trout Band), Sammy's extremely talented sons, Danny (guitar, vocals) and Andee (drums, vocals) and their band Philosophy Of Soul, Monica Kitzerow & her band Chosen Family, and others. Early buzz is that the show may also include Lukas Nelson, son of country great, Willie Nelson. However the roster shakes out, this will be one monster show, with some incredible musicianship and music, so check back at our web site often for details.... this show may be toward the end of this year, or beginning of 2011, depending on the tour schedules of John & Sammy Avila. John is currently touring with Lukas Nelson, and Sammy is touring with Walter Trout.
We look forward to performing for you at your event in the future!
Classic rockers, Motown artists/session players, British Invasion rockers & pop stars, blues artists (recent & early Black artists), hair bands, early metal & hard rock... in short, a very diverse music history ranging from the late 1950's thru modern day
