Leon the Artist

I create an experience with paper and marker for weddings, company picnics, banquets, and other events. I look for ways to extract your personality using your features to tell a hilarious story about you in one scene.

I do it because I love to laugh and draw. I like the fact that I can create something other people like enough to associate it as them and hang it in their home or office.

In 2006, I was serving pancakes and living in a motel, hating my existance. All the right things felt so wrong. It was in that moment I asked myself after watching a movie, if I could do one thing before I died what would it be? Surprisingly, the answer was caricatures. I have always been an artist but caricatures for me was the elusive Moby Dick. People seemed to love this art form. I wanted to learn. I was determined to learn and within one year I was on a cruise ship to Canada doing caricatures, as if I had been doing them for 10 years.

It's now been 6 years and 12,000 caricatures later. I still enjoy it and have become very good at it. People line up and wait for hours to receive a 12x18inch piece of paper with my marker strokes all over it laughing as they walk away. I can't explain it I just do it. I am the first to arrive and the last person to leave at most events.

I have very few demands, and even fewer enemies(photo booths). I will arrive at least one hour early for your event with one goal in mind. Create an experience that people will never forget.

I charge more than others because I manage a business not a hobby. I'm hired to create a unique experience that very few humans can do. I know you have that one cousin, but this is not art alone. This is a combination of instinct, comedy, keen observation, and speed.
