About
Nawlins Po Boyz/Caribbean Cajuns is a duet, trio, or more playing; Cajun, ZydeCajun, Zydeco, Blues, Mardi Gras, Dixieland, Rockabilly, Classic Country, Folk and Bluegrass,contemporary, Steel Drums, Island and Hawaiian Polynesian songs, Calypso, Reggae & Carrebean Style, Irish,Greek, Polish, German, Jewish, and many variety of ethnic styles.
We additionally play Doo Wop, Rock n' Roll ( 50's, 60's )as the Doo Wop Cajuns. Beach music for Pool Parties and all other outdoor events. Corporate parties & events.
We are great for Indoor and outdoor Concerts, Low Country Boils, Pig Roasts, Bar b ques, Oyster Roasts, Clam Bakes, Crawfish Boils, Luaus, and kind of cookouts.
We can play with the sound power of a full Live band for your Festival, Club Date or Private party for less cost then
hiring a full band.
We also can simply play Accoustically for that genuine Fais-Do-Do sound and bring the Rubboard, Triangle and other percussion instruments for your guests to play along.
Additional musicians are availible upon request for a full accoustic band with as many as six pieces(if desired)Drums, Bass, Guitar, Fiddle, Accordion squeezebox, banjo, mandolin, blues harmonica, Island Steel Drums from Trinidad and triangle, slide & nose flute, Rubboard and many other percussions, Full wardrobe of costumes Mardi Gras Umbrellas, beads, for special occasions and events.
Backline or background consist of Laptop Computer midis and sincronized music, and backing CD tracks Then Cajun Dave along with partner Lester on Scrubboard, being the Vocalist and harmonies, also plays Electric Guitar, Accoustic Guitar, 12 String Guitar, 4 and 5 string Violin/Fiddle, Banjo, mandolin, Harmonica, Squeezebox, Island Steel Pan Drums, Bamboo Xylophone, bass guitar (if needed) Scrubboard, triangle, and many percussion instruments etc.
We definately provide a Variety of sound and styles to please all
audiences. We are high energy, and involve our audience, or can play laid back dinner sounds. We have alot of experience and have performed with many big name acts, concerts, festivals. Even in our pictures you can see one picture with Christopher Lloyd on drums! He was Doc Brown in movie "Back to the Future" with Michael J Fox! And numerous other movie and Shows like Adams Family as Uncle Fester, or Jim in "Taxi" I have numberous pictures of many stars we performed with & backed up as well! We are one of gigmasters few premier top bands that have a 5 Star Rating!!! Let us make your corporate, private party, wedding or special event a memoriable one!!!

"Musician friends had recommended Nawlin's Po' Boy'z and they certainly didn't disappoint. Excellent interaction with the crowd, huge range of music and they were just all 'round great guys. People kept asking, 'Where did you find these guys?' They played into the wee hours and would only stop when 'Tampa's Finest' put in the final request of the night (in a nice way, of course). This was a Zydeco themed party however, I would have no problem bringing them back for a host of other themes... Thanks! Aeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! "

"Dave not only played a georgous rendition of "let me call you sweetheart " solo on the violin for our ceremony, he rocked our reception with fantastic cajun music and anything else the guests requested. Dave also was able to do our wedding dance song, Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" and it was beautiful. We had so many compliments on the music from the reception we would recommend him to any type or size of wedding or any other venue for that matter! Thanks Dave!"

"They are terrific. A good range of music, very personable, got the crowd involved. We definately would hire them again.
Only reason we give them a 4.5 on professionalism is that they had a technical problem to begin the show and got a late start. But actually that wasn't a real problem so I might even change that to a 5.0 too! You would not go wrong hiring Cajun Dave.
