Emma Maftei, Harpist

Harpist, Emma Maftei is available for professional bookings, including weddings, receptions, special events, church and school performances, and harp presentations for clubs and/or civic groups. Emma received her Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.While at IU, Emma performed solo and chamber recitals and she was part of various bands and orchestras. A native of Romania, Emma had the opportunity to play recitals and orchestra concerts in her home country, as well as in Switzerland, where she toured in April 2007. Emma and her friend Liz Nowland are part of a harp duo and so far they had many performances in Bloomington and Columbus, Indiana, as well as in Toledo, Ohio.

• Emma was awesome. She was very accomodating. She allowed my wife to come and listen to her play live. She sample many songs for us. She was always professional with all encounters. Many of the guests from our wedding have mentioned in conversations "the Harp Player" brought elegance to our wedding. Emma exceeded our expectations in many ways. She was able to make adjustments on our wedding day. There was a 15 min delay for us in starting the wedding. However, Emma, continued to play during this period. Her music is very soothing to the ears...She is awesome. Look no further, She is definitely the right candidate if you are in need of a harpist!!!
