Don Stevenson here, drummer for the Dirty Water Brass Band (DWBB). We are a eight piece brass band based in Somerville MA, and we have been working and traveling around the New England region for the past 5 years. Our music covers a range of styles from New Orleans Second Line, to Soul, and Jazz.
We play parades, festivals, concerts, weddings, night clubs, fundraisers, community and political events, as well as New Orleans style Jazz funerals. We have been regulars at the Honk! Festival for the past four years.
DWBB is an acoustic band as well as a mobile unit. We can play in place or we can move thru your space bringing the music wherever it needs to go.

We hired Dirty Water Brass Band to play at our cocktail hour and to lead us into the reception at our wedding.
They are amazing! They really livened up the party! People are still telling us how awesome they were. They played New Orleans style jazz songs before they led us into the reception and played a few extra songs on the dance floor. Everyone was grooving!
I had great interactions with Don, the lead contact, both on the phone and through email. Prompt and professional replies, and he really made me feel at ease through the entire process.
If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable experience at your event, hire DWBB. You won't be disappointed!

They were such a great group of people to work with; they are experienced, passionate and professional. They were able to accommodate our budget and workes with us to meet our special requests for entrance and song choice. They even came up with their own arrangement for the song we requested because they had never played it prior and it came out great! I hired them as a surprise gift for my brother in law's wedding and did they sure leave everyone in great spirits and they brought the house down. Can't wait to hire them for our own event this summer!-Nisha Marnane
