Chickenbone Slim is a bluesman living in San Diego, CA. He is the guitarist and vocalist for Chickenbone Slim and the Biscuits. Chickenbone started his band in 2012 and named it The Biscuits because biscuits are his favorite food. CB has been playing music for over 25 years, and is influenced by Muddy Waters, Hound Dog Taylor, Johnny “Guitar” Watson and Tomcat Courtney. Chickenbone is not sure where he originally came from, because he was real young when he was born, but he remembers his house had wheels and it was real hot.
Chickenbone plays electric blues with a Telecaster with a extra thick neck, through a Bell and Howell projector amplifier and an unknown brand turntable amplifier to get his lo fi sound. Chickenbone has developed his interpretation of traditional blues developed from 25 years of stage performance. Lively and engaging, a Chickenbone Slim and The Biscuits show is always satisfying.
The Biscuits are Bruce “Almighty” Stewart on drums, Mike Chiricuzio on Bass, and Dane Terry on Harmonica. All the Biscuits are veteran blues musicians that have performed all across the U.S. with many years of experience.
Chickenbone can perform up to 5 hours of covers and originals. CB is fully contained with sound equipment for most events and venues.
