The band has played hundreds of club dates, private parties, festivals, weddings, and corporate events all along the southeast from its home base near Mobile, Alabama as far as Jacksonville, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Houston and New Orleans.

In 2006, RuffWater placed second in a competition of over 60 bands nationwide at the Hog Wild Bar-B-Q and Blues Festival in Alabama. In 2007 the band was chosen as the headline musical act for the 30th Annual Azalea Trail Run Festival in Mobile where they performed in front of an audience of over 7,000 people. Due to the overwhelming response, the band was chosen to headline the festival for two more consecutive years (2008 - 2009). No other regional band has ever been afforded that opportunity! Also in 2009, RuffWater was chosen as a headline act for the Foley (AL) Bar-B-Q and Blues Festival and in 2010 played the Pensacola (FL) Seafood Festival. To start out 2012, RuffWater is the closing headline act for the Orange Beach Music and Art Festival in Orange Beach, Alabama!

In addition to its high-energy show, RuffWater is known for the ability to play a variety of musical styles from 1960's rock, soul, blues and R&B all the way to the sounds of today's most popular pop, rock, and blues bands.

• My goodness! If you have the chance to book Ruffwater, DO NOT HESITATE! They are so good that we would pay them to travel to Oklahoma to perform here! We plan to book them everytime we are in the south Alabama area. The value for the money is exceptional, they were true professionals while being so fun! They got everyone in the house rocking! • They were great right from the start. They communicated right away and we started talking about my needs for the event. They went over the style of music and asked if there were certain songs we wanted. They put a play list together, followed up with the event planners and get to the event early and were set up and sound checked well before the gig. They made a huge affort to connect with the audience and were great performers which pulled the crowd right in. We loved their look and they worked their butts off with only short breaks and gave 100% right to the last song. • We hired Ruffwater to play a charity event, a shrimp boil, for approximately 300 people. We had a wide range of ages, 21-80, and everyone loved them.
