David McCulloch

I specialize in pleasant background music for dinner parties, small bars, bistros and restaurants. I have played, however, for larger gatherings (200-300 people). I play acoustic guitar and I sing. My music includes classic rock, blues, jazz, country, folk, and I also play some originals. I draw from the Beatles, Brooks and Dunn, Rolling Stones, Keb Mo, Van Morrison, James Taylor, Willy Nelson, James Brown, and many others. I play many favorites, but I also try and select some of the more obscure songs that these peformers have done. I try to provide variety in my song selection: fast, slow, new, old, sad, funny, country, rock, jazz, motown. I strive for a clean, clear sound at low volume, allowing people to visit and chat.

• David was a load of fun and enthusiastic about our event, which carried over into the night of the party. I thought he was just right-he paid attention to what was happening and took the initiative to help make it a splendid evening. He brings a lovely assistant with him that I ended up wishing was an invited guest. David is a good craftsman on the guitar, learned a new tune for me (just for me!) and suggested some music that was made for our event.
