Blue Tulip is an all female eclectic Blues / Jazz-Blues band in Charlotte NC. The band consists of experienced seasoned female musicians performing witty blues and jazz-blues from the 20s through today. We are not your normal 12 bar blues band but professional musicians that have a proven track record in multiple genres coming together to entertain crowds with great music done in an unique upbeat style that you won't find anywhere else.
The musicians are Austin Sapp on vocals and keyboard, Lori Spencer on guitar / Bass / Harmony vocals, and Deborah Scott on congas and world percussion.

• very talented and a blast for the crowd. They were the perfect entertainment - so unique and fun. Their song selection was fantastic and different from any that i have heard before. those songs that were the typical standards were done differently from the normal - no karaoke here. i can't believe all of that sound came from the three tulips. • Blue Tulip was great. Volume and song choice was perfect for the event and their decades of experience was very apparent. we had so many complements on the music. they were very professional in attitude and appearance. They setup before the event started and before clients began arriving, the group leader Lori Spencer took great care with the look of the setup, and after the music portion of the event they removed their equipment silently while the meeting portion of our event was taking place. • We hired Blue Tulip for our wedding reception. They were hired as a quartet, but actually showed up with an extra musician free of charge. They arrived early and played all evening almost without pause. They are highly professional and play a nice assortment of jazz and blues standards.
