Big Spike plays and sings bluegrass music the right way. With impeccable vocal harmonies, a powerful stage presence, a sense of humor, and mastery of their instruments, they bring back a sense of the "golden age" of bluegrass.
Based in northern Vermont, Big Spike plays hard-driving traditional bluegrass, with an emphasis on 3- and 4-part harmonies. Its members are long-time mainstays of the New England bluegrass scene.
Big Spike has been together for over ten years and is known throughout New England for its exciting stage shows and audience appeal. The band has played concerts and festivals, weddings and corporate events, and feedback has been uniformly enthusiastic. One wedding couple said, "You guys blew us out of the water, and it'd be our pleasure to tell the same to anyone who asks." A promoter said after a recent concert, "We so loved having you folks here! [The capacity audience was] a true testament to how much excitement the Big Spike "Buzz" creates in our area! Your 5 part harmonies along with the band's masterful stringed instrumentals were superb and the connection you make with the audience goes without saying."
Big Spike can bring the same excitement to your event.
