DESCRIPTION:
Bluegrass Band in Raleigh, North Carolina: For hire to play Weddings, Corporate & Private Events, Pig Pickings, any Family Event. Dell & Ray Tims began playing Bluegrass & Folk music in the 70's and became professional country musicians in the 80's. They came back to their Bluegrass & Folk roots in the early 90's and formed the Tims Family Band along with their son, Lindsey, playing fiddle (he is now away at college) & Jeff Aebi playing mandolin. Their current instrumentation is Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin, & Bass. Their show consist of Bluegrass standards, instrumentals, Country tunes & Bluegrass Gospel - we'll play to suit your needs, high energy show, or quieter background music.

The Tims Bluegrass Band performed at our annual North Carolina Ag Consultants Banquet. We ate steamed oysters and shrimp while listening to some fantastic music. We were able to visit with one another, eat, sing, and enjoy the music along with the band. They played for two hours during the entire event. Their selections were appropriate and a good mix of traditional and current tunes. The musicians were all very good and a delight to work with. We were pleased with their solid sound and an excellent performance.
