DESCRIPTION:
From the traditional music scene of Georgia comes 16 Tons, an acoustic band playing Appalachian mountain music and bluegrass with traditional and "Outlaw Country" influences. The band features banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, upright bass and 3 & 4 part vocal harmonies. 16 Tons is most often retained for corporate events, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, fund raising events, gallery openings and barbeques. 16 Tons has a strong following in area clubs and has opened for the likes of the Del McCoury Band and Mountain Heart. Their down-home sound and professionalism make them a great asset to any occasion, especially those with a southern or rural theme.
