The Cigar City Big Band

We're a 17-piece big band with a great female singer. We play tunes like "What A Wonderful World," "My Funny Valentine,""Sentimental Journey,"and "Orange Colored Sky." In our repertoire are the hits from the swing and big band era, the songs made famous by Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Nat and Natalie Cole, Etta James, and Helen O'Connell, to name a few. If you like the standards which have stood the test of time, if you like "In The Mood", "Over The Rainbow", I Get A Kick Out Of You", "A Tisket A Tasket", and "At Last", you'll like The Cigar City Big Band. With us, everything you hear is LIVE! There are no canned tracks or sequences. Our saxes, trumpets, trombones, piano, drums, and bass are working hard to back our singer and it shows!

• From the very first contact with the Cigar City Big Band right through their spectacular performance last night, I was impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail. We kept in constant communication during the planning, and they followed the schedule we set for them the evening of the event perfectly. They are a very talented and enthusiastic group of players with an excellent sound and feel for the music. We had so many compliments from our guests. They made the evening!!! • As part of my college's yearly performing arts series one of our acts was Moscow Cats Theatre. When the Cats' bookings were cancelled I was faced with a hole in my schedule. A friend mentioned the CCBB and I decided to book them. Never have I been more clever! CCBB was very professional, Lee Farrell a pleasure to work with, and the performances of both band and vocalist were heavenly. I got requests for them to return here, and received many compliments on them. THESE cats made everyone forget about the original four-legged cats that were originally scheduled.
