DESCRIPTION:
Boulevard Jazz Orchestra was established in 1992 by Mickey Sentif,a graduate of the U.S. Naval Music Conservatory, who brought together sixteen professional musicians of diverse backgrounds. All have exceptional talent and a strong love of music.
Boulevard Jazz is comprised of 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 5 saxophones, keyboard,bass, percussion and vocalists. We play a variety of tunes and vocal charts for dancing or for your listening pleasure - from big band to Sinatra to contemporary jazz and pop. Boulevard Jazz has performed at Tampa's premiere First Night New Year's Eve celebration, Pasco County Fair, the Florida Restaurant Association in conjunction with Outback Steakhouse, Hillsborough County Martin Luther King commemorative ceremony, Fiesta Day in Ybor City, Sun City Center's Kings Point auditorium, Concert in the Park at Centennial Park, Save Sunday for Ybor, etc., and many private company functions.
Boulevard Jazz is multifunctional and can be broken down into smaller groups for certain events e.g. 6-9 piece Dixieland/Ragtime,9-12 piece marching/parade band,6 piece Oktoberfest band,4-5 piece St. Patrick's Day,"an intimate night with Sinatra" quintet.
Boulevard Jazz has dates available now, and for Christmas/New Year.
