With vocals from husband and wife duo, Hans Stockenberger, and his wife, Miss Tulsa Oklahoma and professional opera singer, Rachael Stockenberger, the debut EP from jazz/big band outfit, The Vintage 15, proves to be a compelling listen from the start. Bandleader and seasoned trumpet player, Steve Moreland, has assembled 15 fresh faces from major cities all over the country to carve out a corner of the Austin, Texas jazz scene. The Vintage 15 takes their name literally, as their music is built on the heritage of the "Great American Song Book," with the band playing a variety of jazz standards from legends such as Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., and Michael Bublé. The EP features three standard picks including an interpretation of "Baby, It's Cold Outside," "Orange Colored Sky," and "The Best Is Yet To Come."
The Vintage 15's angle of youth and experience is the first thing noticed about this band of twenty-to-thirty-something-year-old jazz lovers, who's line-up is as follows: Steve Moreland - Bandleader/Trumpet; Hans and Rachael Stockenberger - Lead Vocals; Owen Summers, Charles Lee, Wes Peart, Robert Perkins– Sax; Jon Merz, Tori Moreland, Jonathan Schuab – Trombone; Josh Davies, Mike Sailors – Trumpet; Mike St. Clair, Derek Tarnow, Zach Knox, Adam Reidelbach - Rhythm Section.
The first Vintage 15 rehearsal took place in 2009 once Moreland finished selecting the original fifteen members. Since then, The Vintage 15 has travelled all across Texas to cities such as Houston, Dallas, Galveston and San Antonio, and even Hot Springs, Arkansas in the Spring of 2011, playing all types of events ranging from weddings to birthday blowouts, formals, corporate parties and even the Mad Men first season première.
Developing fresh takes on classic jazz standards has been the goal since. The band turned out an EP and recorded two full-length albums in 2011. In the meantime, the local jazz scene and event coordinators from all across the state have kept the band busy. "We're young, we're fun and we love to play that music. You want a night of great jazz standards and martinis; you call us." And they do.

"We had not heard of or heard the band before booking. They were an easy group with which to work. They showed up on time; they worked with my daughter on the song list; they honored our request to keep the volume down so people to talk at the reception without screaming; they played a wide range of songs, and played them all well; and their lead singer never shouted out, "Is everyone having a good time?".
We strongly recommend the Vintage 15."
In addition to Austin, The Vintage 15 will also travel to Manchaca, Del Valle, Buda, Kyle, Cedar Creek, Dale, Manor, Mc Neil, Pflugerville, Driftwood, Lockhart, Maxwell, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Elgin, Red Rock, San Marcos, Spicewood, Leander, Bastrop, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Martindale, Coupland, Staples, Fentress, Hutto, Mc Dade, Prairie Lea, Rosanky
