Main Street Swing Band

The main street swing band is actually a group of three bands that include a full big band for everything including concerts, stage performances, wedding receptions (our specialty), anniversaries, birthday parties and private or corporate functions, a small big band for smaller budgets and venues that plays all of the above described events and a dixieland band for those special concerts and fun events.
Our band members are all experienced musicians as we are not just a hobby band but proficient musicians who have played for decades with many in top professional positions.

• We host a reception each year at our annual conference & for 2011 it fell on Fat Tuesday so we opted for a Mardi Gras theme. We normally use a DJ but felt a Dixieland band would be more appropriate. I’ve never hired a band before & am not familiar with this genre. I spoke to many bands but thought HotsyTotsy (aka Main Street Swing Band) may represent the theme the best & was assured that they are a true Dixieland band. After working through the logistics, they arrived in plenty of time to set up and do a sound check.
