Shaheen Alikhan of Fata Morgana Bellydance Belly Dancer from Charlottesville, VA

Shaheen is a professional bellydance performer and instructor. She founded Fata Morgana Bellydance in 2001; the troupe has performed in hundreds of venues over the years, and enjoys their unique status as an inclusive live-music-and-dance group. Shaheen travels extensively to perform and teach workshops; at home, she also teaches regular weekly classes. She has brought entertainment and fun education to the public and experienced dancers through her unique folkloric tribal fusion style for nearly 15 years. Shaheen's passion is for improv dancing to live drumming; she also loves dancing with her swords. Some non-dance loves include riding, archery, and animals.
