Yasmine

Yasmine has an extensive dance background which includes Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Flamenco and Tango. She fell in love with middle-eastern dance at a young age and has enjoyed being one of New York's highly sought out bellydancers ever since.




The standard bellydance routine is approximately 20-30 min. in duration. Props are usually a part of the show, which consist of 2-3 of the following:

* Veil
* Wings
* Zils
* Candles Tray
* Sword
* Cane
* Fan-Veils
* Fire-Props


Yasmine has been performing throughout New York and New Jersey for the past 10 years.  The venues where she has been featured include: Ibis Supper club (NYC), Cedars of Lebanon (NYC), Byblos (NYC), The Nile (NJ), Aladdin (NJ), Le Souk (NYC), Roses's Place (Englewood NJ), Cavo (Astoria, NY), Mezzo Mezzo (Astoria, NY), Habibi lounge (NYC), Lafayette Grill (NYC), Marakesh (Parsipanny, NJ), Molfetas (S. Hackensack, NJ), Ranoosh (Long Branch, NJ), and countless other nightclubs and restaurants. 
 
In 2001 she performed for Jon Bon Jovi at his estate, and in New Year's Eve 2007 she was invited to perform at WyClef Jean's festivities.  In the summer of 2010, she was asked to perform for Prince Moulay Rachid of Morocco. As a company member of the M.E.D.E., she was cast in the 1995 Walt Disney production, of the XXIX super bowl half time show, starring Patti La Belle, Tony Bennett and The Miami Sound Machine.
 
Yasmine is featured in the upcoming movie Sex and the City 2.  She is featured in the extended trailer as well.

She has been cast to appear in several Theatrical shows: 2008/ZODIAC BELLYDANCE at Merce Cunningham (NYC),
2009/VINTAGE BELLYDANCE at Dance Forum (NYC) and BELLYDANCE LIVE FROM NEW YORK at The Poet's Den (NYC),
2010/THE ZOO at Merce Cunningham (NYC) and THEATRICAL BELLYDANCE at Dance New Amsterdam (NYC).

Specialty acts which include the following:


* Fire: torches, poi, staff or fans
* Hawaiian Hula and Tahitian Dance Performance
* Snake bellydancers
* Traditional Egyptian Group show (3-5 dancers)
* Burlesque dancers

• I hired Yasmine for my husbands surprise 30th birthday party. From her profile on gigmasters, I found her to be beautiful, glamorous and talented. She was not to far from me either, so I decided she would be absolutely perfect for the gig. She showed up on time and she was ready to go. She put on the most incredible performance I have seen to this day. She was beautiful in the videos and pictures but it person with costume she was breathtaking. She was so sweet and free spirited.
