Dalila Jasmin specializes in electrifying Cabaret Style Belly Dance with double sword balancing and ethereal veil and fan-veils. She is a charming and entertaining performer with a divine fluidity and grace. She also loves performing for Retirement Homes, Senior Centers, and Nursing Homes, and will work within your budget for these shows. Dalila usually performs for 15-30 minutes. Her classic Cabaret show may start with iridescent shimmering wings. The rest of the performance may include a dynamic, fast-paced dance with finger cymbals; ethereal and colorful fan-veils, as well as Sword balancing. Dalila also performs other specialties such as Egyptian cane dance (Raks Assaya), elegang Tray dance, as well as Latin Fusion Belly Dance.. She will work with your theme to customize her shows for your event, and her show is always appropriate for all ages including children. Dalila Jasmin has had extensive dance training including: Ballet for 8 years while growing up in New York, Florida, Holland, and Santa Barbara. She has also trained in Afro-Haitian, West African, Dunham Technique, Hawaiian,Tahitian, Maori, Modern, Jazz, Flamenco, Samba, and Cabaret Style Belly Dancing; as well as Zumba, Jujitsu and Bikram Yoga. She has also taught Belly Dance and is a licensed Zumba instructor. OTHER TECHNICALITIES: Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 30 minutes, though she can do more than 1 show. When Dalila arrives to your event she will contact you or your event planner directly, to let you know that she is there. When she meets you, she (or her assistant) will hand you the music for her set(s) to give to the DJ. It will be in CD format, so please plan ahead to provide a CD player with appropriate speakers for the size of the venue. She will need approximately 30 minutes to change and get warmed up, so please take this into consideration when telling her what time to arrive to the venue. When she is ready she will contact you again to let you know it is time to cue the music! Her assistant will take care of handling all props & tips during & following the performance. The balance payment is due to be paid in cash, by you directly, to Dalila at the end of the performance. DRESSING AREA: The client must provide a safe and private changing area with space to store her bags while she is performing. STAGE/SETUP REQUIREMENTS: CD Player, DJ: It is important to plan to have a CD player and an appropriate sound system suited to the size of the venue. FLOOR: Please let Dalila know in advance what kind of floor she will be performing on so she can make appropriate costume selections. Floor should be free of broken glass, spilled liquids, or other hazardous objects. Someone should also announce Dalila when she starts her show, and make sure that the dance floor is cleared enough for Dalila to do her show.
