Background and Musical Approach
Made up of 4 mature and experienced musicians, Hearts Club Band plays a full array of tunes (70+) from the vast Beatles songbook ranging from early-Beatles all the way through to their final album, 'Let It Be'. The band also likes to focus on the not-so-familiar but just as influential tunes that further defined their uncanny evolution. Not a 'dress up' act, the band instead focuses on the music and takes great pride in their ability to stay true to The Beatles' unique and timeless arrangements, employing the right instrumentation, and singing their tight, 3-part harmonies. all with a faithful attention to detail.
Based locally in Newtown, HCB has evolved into a consummate tribute band. Originally formed in 2011 as The Fab Four Players, the band created quite buzz over the years playing Beatle favorites regularly at The Logan Inn in New Hope, Chamber's Other Side, The Green Parrot in Newtown, Dacey's Irish Pub in Morrisville, First Fridays at Skippack, and at numerous private parties and events.
More recently, reformed as Hearts Club Band, the band has performed multiple times at The Black Horse Tavern and The Newtown Athletic Club's Escape After Dark (see photos of sample flyers created for HCB events). The NAC also put together their own flyer to promote their event and even created special Beatles-themed drinks and menu There are photos and videos of recent performances as well as demos on our website ( ) and Facebook page ), both currently under construction, along with a short video from The NAC performance.
