Dennis McCaughey And Tropical Soul

Lancaster, PA based singer-songwriter Dennis McCaughey formed the trop rock band, Tropical Soul over twelve years ago. Tunes range from covers of acoustic beach, pop and Jimmy Buffett covers, to island-flavored originals. Performing solo, or with his band, Dennis performs 200+ shows per year, in the northeast and frequently traveling to Florida, California, New Orleans and many other parts of the country. Venues played include Margaritaville in Key West, New Orleans and Orlando, Hogs Breath Saloon and Dante's in Key West, the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg, PA, Katmandu in Trenton, NJ and Cabanas in Cape May, NJ.
Dennis and his band has often shared stages with members of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, and collaborates frequently with R Scott Bryan, formerly with the Sheryl Crow Band.
Tropical Soul regularly entertains the ParrotHeads in Amish Paradise and has played events for many ParrotHead Clubs throughout the country. They have been playing the National ParrotHead Convention in Key West, FL for the past twelve years and in 2002, opened for Jimmy Buffett on Duval Street in front of Margaritaville.
Tropical Soul has also opened for such national artists as Scott Kirby, Peter Mayer, Mac McAnally, Club Trini, and Bill "The Sauce Boss" Wharton. They have performed with John Frinzi, Doyle Grisham, James "Sunny Jim" White, Tall Paul and Crawdaddey, the Calypso Nuts and Jimmy and the Parrots, along with many other trop rock artists.
Dennis has released four CDs, most recently a live recording, We're All Here.
