Description

I am a professional Scottish bagpiper who specializes in playing for weddings, funerals, parties, churches, pubs, dances, and lessons. I have had years of experience in all of these venues and have extensive knowledge of traditional, contemporary, and liturgical repertoire. I also play Scottish smallpipes (quieter pipes), irish high whistle and low whistle. I hold a Bachelor's of Music degree from the University of Michigan. I have also performed at the University of Alaska at Fairbanks as an invited summer guest artist, on Capitol Hill in Washington DC, the United States Naval Academy, Arlington National Cemetery, and countless weddings, funerals, and pubs in the Ann Arbor MI, New York City, Washington DC, Fairbanks AK, and Anchorage AK areas. I have also been the piper and whistle player with a touring Celtic band.

No matter what the occasion is, I guarantee to bring a professional and fun attitude as well as beautiful music from the glens of Scotland and Ireland to your event. References available upon request. For audio samples and repertoire list, please visit my website.

Feedback

  • Raymond did a fabulous job and I know that my mother-on-law would have been very pleased. Excellent job! -- Mirna O, Arlington, VA, 5/4/2010
  • Raymond is very talented and professional performer. We had a “Welcome Home” party for our son who came from deployment and Raymond impressed everyone with his repertoire, his selection of music put soul in our party. He was always accommodating any request and he conducted himself as a real gentleman during the event. My son, my husband and I are very pleased and there is not any doubt that we will recommend him and re-hire him for many more future occasions. Thank you Raymond for making our party so special! The Noble Family – Old Town Alexandria, VA -- Maricela N, Triangle, VA, 3/12/2011
  • Ray was very easy to work with and responded to my questions promptly. The music was gorgeous! -- Karen M, Washington, DC, 10/8/2011
  • Ray played a couple tunes on his smallpipes for my wife and I at our wedding. He was on time, the tuning of the pipes was very good, and his appearance was impeccable. I would definitely commend his playing to anyone with an event in the D.C. metro area -- Aaron D, Fairfax, VA, 1/7/2012
  • I was extremely please with Raymond's performance. He was extremely helpful with integrating music for my mess night. I will request Ray for any future event I plan. Thanks! -- William J, Washington, DC, 3/3/2012
