Pipe Major Graeme Massie

Pipe Major Graeme Massie a genuine Scottish bagpiper he has recently completed 24 years service in the British Army.
He served both in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards(Grade One Pipe Band at that time)Grade one being the highest and five the lowest, of which there is only three grade one bands in the US, and The Queen's Royal Irish Hussars.

Graeme joined the Army in 1984 at the age of 16 as a junior bagpiper and soldier.
During his extensive service he has been engaged to perform the bagpipes in many countries of the world for various events. Below is a partial listing of these countries.

During his career he has also performed personally for many Heads of State and members of Royal Families (NOT IN A PARADE!) these include.

Pope John Paul II

Also in Aug 2011 he had the honor of playing solo with Bryan Adams in West Palm on his world tour.

Pipe Major Massie has also performed at the famous Edinburgh Tattoo three times, The Berlin Tattoo, Australian Tattoo and the Royal Tournament London to mention a few.

In 1994 Pipe-Major Massie complete the Pipe-Majors Course at the Army School of Piping in Edinburgh Castle,Scotland. This is considered the most challenging and complete Bagpiping course in the world.
On average only five candidates per year are award this qualification in the world.Currently only four pipers in the US have this qualification.

He also holds The Graduate Certificate and the Senior Teachers Certificate from the Collage of Piping Glasgow,Scotland.

After completing the course Graeme was promoted to Pipe-Major of the Queen's Royal Irish Hussars. Where he served until April 2008.

Pipe-Major Massie also saw active service in six combat tours including three tours of combat in Iraq. This includes the 1st Gulf War, Bosnia and Kosovo.

I have my official Testimonial of Discharge from the British Army which proves that i have the qualifications and have performed where and who i have stated,which i can provid upon request.

Also before you hire a piper or band its so important to listen to sound files of them before you hire. If they don't have them there is a reason for that.
