Michael R. Thomas

Mike Thomas is one of the most sought after and accomplished pipers in the area. He has served as Pipe Sergeant of the Jacksonville Pipes and Drums, co-leading the group to two consecutive first place trophies at the Northeast Florida Highland Games. His solo career has taken him througout the state, claiming many top-three finishes and several first place prizes. Thomas has played at numerous weddings, funerals, parties, military functions, and corporate events throughout the Southeast.

Whether its starting your new life together at a wedding, or saying goodbye to a loved one, you only get one chance, and so does the musician you hire. Mr. Thomas guarantees dignified music, played proficiently, on a well-tuned instrument.

He will be happy to discuss any particulars of your event, including assisting you in selecting appropriate traditional Scottish and Irish tunes. He will arrive to your engagement professionally dressed in modern Highland attire, appropriate to the event. He is available for engagements throughout Florida and South Georgia.

Weddings

Any variation of the following is possible for the big day:

- Playing outside the church as guests arrive
- A processional tune for the wedding party
- A regal arrangement for the Bride to process
- 'Piping out' the newlyweds down the aisle
- Selected tunes at the reception

Funerals

A time of both mourning and celebration, funerals may be played with both sorrowful airs and dignified marches.
