Sista Sensi and the Buds are a 5-7 piece (price dependent) band capable of performing at bars,weddings,and other celebrations. We play a variety of island and whatever type music you want (including a beautiful steel drum program from our keyboard player James "Semaj" Dority) who has played with many other internationally famous bands. We can customize a setlist of songs for any event. We aim to please and are happy to play requests! Sista Sensi our lead singer is quite famous internationally and very well-loved in Jamaica, where she entertains winters in Negril. She has recorded with and/or performed with: King Yellowman, Big Youth, Cutty Ranks, Josey Wales, John Holt, URoy, Steel Pulse, UB40 and a virtual who's who of Reggae greats in Jamaica where she lives and performs each winter. Her music is streamed worldwide. We have a phenomenal sax player and three other optional horn players including Jon Hoel. His recording with us on YouTube, "Great Reggae Sax" has garnered over 29k hits. Our bass player Josh Velazquez is from Puerto Rico and adds that sweet Caribbean spice to the mix. He will have everyone up and dancing! Our drummer Kelvin Jackson is soooo good people love him as do we!
