A unique Pop Country - a place where Nashville meets Motown. This Nashville recording artist has projected onto the music scene a voice with the maturity and style of an artist twice her age. Her voice is the instrument that blends perfectly the sounds of country music with the soulful impressions of R&B's early years.
Rachel's been busy over the winter months, completing her debut album and shooting a music video in Nashville (see CMT/GAC for showings). Her management team is now lining up performance appearance for Spring/ Summer 2014 to include a USO tour in Europe. With over 5500 Facebook fans and 11,000 plus views of her video “Great American Romance”, she will continue to build her fan base in the Midwest before going national in 2015.
Rachel's love of country artists like Reba, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood is fuzed with her love of early great Motown artists such as Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, Martha Reeves and Kim Weston and a modern pop sound of Christina Aguilar or Pink. As a plus to her music listening fans, you also hear the echo's of Etta James and Billie Holiday in her renditions of more soulful tunes.
Her country soul version of Reba's WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD FROM YOU and the original song titled DON'T TELL ME are destined to be radio play standards and covered by every band that has a female lead singer. Having won numerous talent shows and receiving local acclaim for her theater performances, Rachel Karryn's plans are to continue building her fan base in the midwest region with her current album being released in September 2013 and break out nationally in the spring of 2014.
