The Michael Drange "Quiz Band" specializes in music from the Great American Songbook. Need some swing, a bossa, a ballad, some fusion or a little Billy Joel? We will tailor our sound to your desires. We want to make your occasion special. Our versatile quartet, based in the San Gabriel Valley will get your party swingin'.

Why "Quiz Band?" In addition to being top notch musicians, two of our members are certificated music teachers. We have developed a unique way to keep the audience engaged with the music. We have developed several quizzes that we can use with the audience. They ask questions about the songs we are playing.

Winners have a song created for them on the spot and get a "Quiz Band Winner" t-shirt. Perfect for the time during the wedding reception before the first dance. People are waiting for the bride and groom to get there and the band is already playing. Also great for keeping people engaged at a party where dancing is not job 1. We will also create a song for the guest(s) of honor, even if they don't get the highest score on the quiz.

We can play straight music or entertain as "the Quiz Band." Your choice. Either way, we will entertain the audience.

We typically charge $300 for the first hour and $200 each subsequent hour.

The Michael Drange "Quiz Band" plays all types of events and also plays an extensive list of Christmas songs for your Holiday Party.

Michael Drange has been writing and performing in Southern California for over 20 years. He is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The GRAMMY Awards) and has a Masters Degree in Commercial Composing and Arranging.

• Michael Drange "quiz band" was amazing and a huge hit with the wedding guests.
