Do you want to party? No really - are you just saying that or do you really want to PARTY! Good - because The Mandrakes are the ultimate dance party band for NEARLY all occasions. Great at weddings, not so great at a wine tasting. Awesome at 80's parties, not so great doing Doo Wop or Golden Oldies. Perfect for a raging FRAT, BACHELORETTE, BACHELOR, BIRTHDAY, DIVORCE, CASINO NIGHT, LIVE KARAOKE, ADULT or HOLIDAY themed party - not so great as your background dinner easy listening relaxation digestive therapy band. Hey - if you can dance to it - we play it. We are 3 professional musicians that have been in original touring bands since as far back as we can remember. The Mandrakes is what we do for fun when we are not cranking out the original jams. But just because we manage to have fun everywhere we play doesn't mean we are not professional and know how to play to the room or the event. We can dress up in suits for your wedding - or dress in 80's skinny ties and new wave doo's and crank out the Billy Idol and Cure for your 80's Safety Dance party. We've been rocking southern California (and beyond) with our unique musical jukebox medley approach since 2001. Constant music with little to no down time between songs is our forte. Mixing current radio hits with Alternative rock, Hip Hop, 80's New Wave, 70's Disco and the occasional Classic Rock tune is our formula -- and, we may toss out a Beatles tune every now and then because that is our favorite band! We've played all 80's shows, Disco shows, and shows where we mix it up, throw out the rule book and just do audience requests and let YOU sing the song you pick.

Keeping the party going, people dancing and having a good time is our main goal. We have our own top of the line QSC PA system that can bring the bass for the big rooms - or strip it down and use just the top speakers on stands and play quietly for the places where volume is a concern. We use custom in ear monitoring systems and have a state of the art digital mixing board that makes set up time about a half an hour from the time we arrive until the time we are ready to play. We also provide optional DJ mix music between sets and have a pretty cool light show with fog (that we play with most of the time) - venue permitting. The Mandrakes have played for crowds as large as 5000+ people at outdoor events, corporate Christmas parties, too many weddings to mention, street parties, lots of casinos and of course nearly every bar in Southern California and beyond. And yes, Dave even got to play at The Cavern Club in Liverpool with his original band - and sell it out - woo hoo!

We are currently the house band at Brennan's Irish Pub in Marina Del Rey where can be seen every Thursday night - FOR FREE - playing from 9:30 pm - 1:30 - where they have the world famous Turtle Races.
